Maytag Microwave Oven maytag 1 touch mmv5000bdw

Microwave thruns off

After abut 2 min. of use the unit shuts down completely, even the clock goes blank. After a while it seems to turn back on by itself. There seems to be some sort of overheat breaker in the unit that trips, but I have no idea where to start looking. Can anyone give me some advice

    The customer support number is 800-688-9900, and here is a link to the owners manual (which didn't have a "Before you call..." answer for your problem)
