Roper Refrigerator TOP-MOUNT REFRIGERATOR

freezer defrosting into refrigerator

I have a Roper refrigerator that is defrosting that keeps defrosting into the refrigerator. I bought this item used from a neighbor. It's quite yucky makes everything wet and smelly. Any suggestions before I call a repair man. Thank you
