Tricity Bendix Compact Washer BIW 125 W

sudden machine lurching

After 15 months of trouble free use the above machine has failed. As soon as it reaches chosen temperature it skips wash cycle and suddenly lurches into a spin that stops abruptly causing the machine to leap about a foot and then does nothing but flash its stop/pause light continuously. Has anyone any experience with this problem?
