Whirlpool Compact Washer LC4900XT

Locking Collar

The locking collar doesn't want to stay attached securely to the faucet adapter. Whenever I attach it to the faucet adapter and turn on the water, it pops off. Could it be stripped, and if so, is this piece repaceable?
