General Electric Electric Range JS968

We cleaned the oven and now the door won't open. It is Flashing Locked. It is not too hot as we cleand it over 24 hours ago. We tried to clean again but now it is saying "door". Trouble shooting indicates the door is open. I have tried unplugging it but does not work. When I pug in it sounds like a motor is running as though trying to unlock door?.
