Broan Range Hood QS1

attemping to install a 42inch QS1 range hood in and older home.Problem kitchen cabinets over the stove has a 10inch duct work hole already cut in,howevere the center line of the QS1 fan is off to the left by about 6 inch.Question: can I use heat/air flex ducting to vent a range hood.I can cut out the inside of the cabinet in order to get on the center line, if I can use the flex ducting.You think that would work OK ??
