Oil Spillage
Posted by tmluttrell on Jul 7th, 2008 at 3:53pm

I laid the mixer down sideways and a puddle of light oil appeared. It seems to have come from inside the mixer. Should I be concerned? Is there any way I can replace the machine oil myself?

Don't know if you've already gotten an answer, but oil spillage is usual if the mixer is not upright. There is a small cup that collects oil from the transmission and it will come out if the mixer is tipped. As far as adding more oil, I don't know about that, I suppose you could add a bit if you lost a lot, but not quite sure how - it would have to be a tiny applicator. Hope this helps.
