Whirlpool Garbage Disposal GC2000

Need help trouble shooting a GC2000 disposal

I have a 4 year old GC2000 garbage disposal and it is not working. The motor sound is quiet and it is not disposing plus it is plugged (water takes a long time before it drains). What can the problem be? I checked to see if any thing is stuck but could not feel anything. Do I need a new one? Please help!
