DCS Gas Cooktop CT-365SS

Igniter Won't stop clicking
Posted by alexishgpr on Jul 9th, 2008 at 9:16pm

The igniter on my DCS cooktop won't stop clicking even though all burners are turned off. I was cleaning under the knobs today and think some water got in there.. is this dangerous?

I don't know which model I have but it is either CT-365SS, CT-365BK, or CT-355WT. The ignitors won't stop clicking on 3 of my 6 burners. I don't know why this is happening but the cooktop is only 2.5 yrs old. Any suggestions on how to make it stop?

It seems like the clicking started when water got under the knobs during cleaning. Once it dried out the clicking stopped. In the meantime I unplugged it.
