Kenmore elite side by side New filter but red light

I have a kenmore elite side by side refrigerator. I just bought it from someone. I replaced the filter and the light remained red. I call to see if she still had the manual...no luck. I am trying to figure out how toreset..tried reset button. The water is getting to the filter but nothing is coming out of water dispenser. Can you help me with this siuation?

    I am having the same problem getting water to go through the dispenser after I changed the filter. I am frustrated because there doesn't seem to be any help available from Kenmore. I figured how to reset the filter light. You hold the button down for several seconds until you see the light flash colors. I still have no water coming through the filter and no ice making.

    Push the light switch button inside the fridge door 5 times. This works to reset mine. Hope this helps.
