Frequent overheat trips

Frequently stops heating, but Always responds to reset button, but there is no build up of lint or fluff causing the trip. Do these heat sensors sometimes become over sensitive?
If reset were easy to reach I wouldn't mind, but being round the back it has become a nuisance.
