Hobart Corp. Gas Oven DRO2G

convection fan
Posted by dharmendra_sukhdeo on Aug 5th, 2008 at 8:39pm

When the oven is turned on the fan makes a scraping noise. The motor was checked and is working perfectly.Inoticed that a stiff curved piece of wire sticking out of the space between motor and wall.I tried dismantling the fan by unscrewing the bolt that holds the fan and pin to the shaft.I used a puller and also applied heat but nothing worked. Please advise me what to do next.I think the motor and fan has tocome out to determine what is making the noise.I live in Guyana on the continent of south America and there is no qualified hobart technican here.
Thanking you for an early reply.
Dharmendra.
