I had the same problem over the weekend. on the inside of the door at the top there is a circular vent. it has a notch in the bottom. if it is not seated into the receptacle properly with the clip latching in the 3-o'clock position and the open notch of the vent at the bottom 6-o'clock position it's going to allow water into a gap in the door.
if the clip doesn't want to lock into position on the circular vent, VERY GENTLY pry open the opening of the clip to more readily accept the circular vent. Just don't break that clip cause I wouldn't know how to fix that.
this vent should be turning clockwise if you are facing it.
It will very firmly stop if you caught that tab under the vent.
