Whirlpool Front-Load Washer AWG5122

wash cycles

i cant seem to figure out the wash cycles. i set a wash load at setting 4 to wash cottons but the wash cycle didn't and and will still being washed 4hrs after i initially started it. i cant see any info in the manual about what i have to do or press. please help.
