Whirlpool Front-Load Washer Two Speed Automatic Washers [3955164]

will not drain

My washer abruptly stopped working after the wash cycle. It will still agitate for the wash, but will not move on to the rinse cycle. It doesn't even start to drain. All of the wash cycles work, nothing else. I have a bathroom rug in the washer now and it does have some, not alot, of strings that have come off in the water.
HELP!
