KitchenAid Classic whisk scrapes bowl

I just got a used KitchenAid Classic, but the attachments all scrape the bowl. I tried adjusting the screw, but it didn't work--all it did was block the locking mechanism in the back. Can someone help me figure out what to do to fix this? The bowl is already looking worn.
