  my gas fitters are moaning that I haven't got the clips for my hob and I don't have any instructions for fitting. I couldn't find what I was looking for on the net because the hob doesn't have a model number on it. I'm pretty sure I'm being messed around needlessly but can you help ?

  Hotpoint RGB524 Stove has a strong Gas Smell or Odor. I checked all the fittings and connections going to the stove with soapy water and did not find any leaks.   The range does not ignite properly. When it does ignite there is a boom sound within the unit. This keeps occuring even when the range is up to temperature and is trying to keep the temperature.

  I think the ignitor for the oven might be burned out--there is no sound when gas is turned on.
  Where is it located & could this be the problem?
