    Manual for MSS600    Here's a link to the manual for the MSS600, it seems you can cook with either the top or bottom elements, or both. No idea why you'd want to use just the top or just the bottom, I managed to successfully burn a pizza to a crisp on the bottom, while the top looked barely done :/
